World No Tobacco Day: Why is this International Day celebrated?

History of World No Tobacco Day

World No Tobacco Day was first observed by the World Health Organization in 1987. In fact, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it an epidemic in 1987, with an unexpected increase in deaths due to tobacco-related diseases.

Disadvantages of tobacco use:
