Growing TB disease in dairy cattle is dangerous for humans

Research has shown that growing TB in animals is becoming more dangerous for humans. Scientists believe that the spread of TB from animals is even greater than the transmission from humans. Like Corona 12, tuberculosis, also known as tuberculosis, is a contagious disease from which people are now distracted. It is caused by a bacterium called Microbacterian tuberculosis, which is the most common infection in the lungs and is dangerous if left untreated and untreated.


As far as India is concerned, out of a total of 200 million animals, as per the 2012 census, there were 4.5 million TB patients. The World Health Organization and agricultural experts believe that TB in animals caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium can also spread to humans, which is called zoonotic TB. In India, in addition to M. bovis, other TB bacteria may also be present in animals, so genetic TB needs to be understood in a broader sense. Other bacteria in the microbacterium tuberculosis complex also need to be added to it, which can spread TB from animals to humans. The findings are published in the international journal Lancet.


According to a 2016 report by Global Tuber Closis, India had the highest number of TB infections in the world at 3 lakh, of which 3 lakh died. After India, more TB patients are found in China, Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Nigeria and Bangladesh. The target is to reduce TB cases by 20 per cent by 202. Of these, the presence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in South Asia is worrisome. There is also a need to focus on veterinary medicine to eradicate TB in India.
