Baby born with hair from head to waist, case of Hardoi, UP

A woman has given birth to a strange baby in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. A newborn has hair growing from head to waist. This disease is called giant congenital melanocytic nevus. The process of sending the newborn to Lucknow for treatment has been initiated.

A woman has given birth to a child with a strange defect at a community health center in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district. The doctors were also taken aback. This newborn has black hair growing from the head to the back of the waist. According to doctors, this child has a disease called Giant Congenital Melanocytic Nevus and due to this disease, hair has grown from his head to his waist. A team from the National Child Health Guarantee Program had reached the CHC as soon as the child was born with this strange disease and after the diagnosis of the disease, they have also taken up the exercise of sending him to Lucknow for further treatment.

A woman from Now Nangla village of Hardoi was admitted after labor pain where she gave birth to this baby, 60% of the baby's body was blackened at birth and hair grew from head to waist.

This disease is seen in very few people, the infant suffering from this rare disease will be sent to Lucknow for treatment as soon as possible, currently both the child and the mother are healthy.
