Foods that harm mental health

Salt: Consuming too much salt can also harm your mental health. Salt weakens the body's immune system, leading to fatigue and mental health disturbances.

Refined Carbohydrates : Excessive consumption of refined carbohydrate foods can make a person vulnerable to heart disease, diabetes and obesity. Not only this, excessive consumption of such food also makes a person a victim of mental diseases. In such a situation, avoid or limit consumption of things like white bread, white rice, sugar, syrup, confectionery food, snacks, pasta etc. to maintain your mental health. In a study conducted by the Institute of Mental Health, researchers say that people who consume refined carbohydrates have an increased risk of anxiety and depression.

Added Sugar: Sugary foods can cause mood-related problems along with fluctuating blood sugar levels. In such a situation, all foods such as preserved fruit juices, jams, ketchup and sauces, which are high in sugar, should be avoided.
