Just two doses of corona vaccine being developed in India will boost immunity drastically

New delhi date. 24 June 2020, Wednesday

Oxford's Corona virus vaccine has been launched in India by the British company AstraZeneca. The good news about this vaccine is that it provides strong immunity with just two doses. According to the research of the scientists, just like the MMR vaccine, two doses of Oxford Corona vaccine AZD1222 may be required.

During a trial on pigs, it was found that booster doses provide strong immunity. However the vaccine has already been given to humans during trials and has yielded positive results. Some Oxford scientists had hoped that the vaccine would be ready by October.

Corona's AZD1222 vaccine is considered far ahead of other vaccine candidates and has already started production in many countries, including India. The AZD1222 vaccine will be available to the general public as soon as it is approved by scientists and government agencies. Preparations for large-scale production of this vaccine are underway in many countries.

According to the British government, the corona vaccine will be available to government health workers, social care workers, people over the age of 50 and heart-kidney patients on a priority basis. According to the CEO of AstraGenka, the vaccine is being tested on 10,000 people and will give them immunity for at least a year.
