Corona transition in the country was growing at a tremendous pace like a forest fire. In the last 24 hours alone, 65,000 new cases were reported. At the same time, the total number of corona cases in the country reached 25 lakh 26 thousand. In the last twenty-four hours, the number of deaths due to corona in the country has reached 996, i.e. about a thousand. The total number of deaths from corona reached 49036.

The worst affected state is Maharashtra where Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP have Shambhumela governments. The number of victims in Maharashtra reached five lakh 72 thousand. Considering the 364 deaths from corona in the last twenty-four hours, the total number of deaths from corona was 19,427. Maharashtra alone accounted for one-third of all deaths in the country.

Tamil Nadu was the second most affected state. In the next 24 hours on Friday, 5,890 new cases of corona were reported in the state. The total number of corona cases in the state was 3 lakh 26 thousand 245. Andhra Pradesh was the third state in the South with a total of 2,73,085 cases of corona. The death toll here was 2,475. The fourth was also the state of the South. Two lakh 11 thousand 108 cases were reported in Karnataka. The death toll here was 3,718.

The only reassurance was that so far 71 per cent of the total patients in the country i.e. more than 18 lakh people had been coronated and returned home after recovery. Many of them donated plasma.
