How many cases of corona infection are likely to increase during cold and festivals?

New Delhi, October 16, Monday,

It is the first time in India that a coronavirus has been infected in some parts of the country after 8 months. However this condition is found only in certain places in the districts of some states. Union Health Minister Harshvardhan, in response to a question in the weekly webinar program Sunday Dialogue on Sunday, admitted that it happened not everywhere but in some places. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also emphasized on strict adherence to the Kovid-17 security protocol during Durga Puja as community transition was witnessed in some densely populated areas.

Apart from this, the possibility of mass transition in dense population was also expressed in Kerala and Delhi. The state of community transition is the most dangerous in which the original source of the transition cannot be caught. It is also believed that at present, 90 per cent of the country's population is likely to have antibodies to Kovid-12. However, if this is true, it can be concluded that 200 million people are infected. In comparison, the total number of cases of Kovid-15 infection in India is 3 lakh out of which more than 3 lakh have been cured. India's recovery rate is the best in the world.

According to the information received, a panel appointed by the central government in June believes that the epidemic is at its peak and only precautionary measures can be taken. If the protocol is followed, it is hoped that the epidemic will be stopped by the end of February 2021.

However, experts also warn that the country needs to be especially vigilant during the upcoming festivals and cold weather as the transition could be serious these days. Care needs to be taken especially in festivals like Durga Puja and Dussehra. According to one source, if care is not taken, more than 3 lakh new cases of infection can occur in a single month. Negligence of social distance in Onam in Kerala has led to an increase in transition cases. Other states need to learn from the example of Kerala.
