Scientists at the Cancer Institute in the Netherlands have claimed to have discovered an previously unknown organ in the human body. Scientists considered this organ, discovered for the first time in the last three hundred years, to be historical research.

This organ is located one and a half inches behind the nose and just above the neck. Scientists say that this research will be helpful in the treatment of cancer of any organ of the throat and head. Scientists say the research will also be useful in enhancing and understanding the techniques used to treat cancer in general, especially radiotherapy.

Throat cancer usually causes the patient to experience extreme pain in swallowing any food or liquid. Scientists believe that this type of problem will be lessened by the discovery of this new organ. According to a report published in the journal Radiotherapy and Oncology, these microscopic salivary glands in the human body will prove to be very important in medicine. Until now we did not know about this salivary gland. This was because these glands were attached to a portion of a cartilage called the torus tuberous.

The report further states that more in-depth research is needed on this issue so that we can get the finest details about these glands. This would be the first major medical discovery in the last three hundred years.
