Sunscreen works to protect from the sun's harmful UV rays Grapes: Study

Rich in vitamin C, vitamin K and anti-oxidants, grapes help prevent heart health as well as lower blood sugar levels and prevent diabetes and many types of cancer. We all know this specialty of grapes. But did you know that grapes can also protect against skin damage caused by the sun's harmful UV rays? This has been claimed in a new study.

Grapes protect against sunburn and UV damage

The study was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. According to this study, the consumption of grapes can prevent the damage to the skin caused by the harmful UV rays of the sun. That is, the resistance is higher.

The same benefits of eating grapes

Grapes contain a natural element called polyphenols which gives these benefits to the skin against UV damage. One study involved people who were given 2.25 cups of grapefruit daily to eat whole grape powder for 14 days. How these people reacted to UV light was measured before and after eating grapes.

It also helps prevent skin cancer

Skin biopsies have since been shown to reduce the risk of DNA damage, skin cell mortality, and inflammatory markers, leading to a number of skin-related diseases and skin cancers. So it can be said that grapes act like sunscreen which is effective in preventing UV damage.
