Do antibodies stay in the body for life after the corona infection is eradicated?

New York, May 8, 2021, Thursday

Even if a person has a mild corona infection, his or her body can continue to produce antibodies to fight the disease for a long time. In such circumstances he is less likely to have a second coronary artery infection. This promising information has come out in a research conducted by the School of Medicine of the University of Washington in St. Louis. According to information published in the journal Nature, antibody cells remain active in the body for months, even after mild symptoms of corona. According to researcher Ali Allebedi, it was previously thought that after a corona infection, the immune system weakens rapidly, making coronary recurrence more likely.

This means that the mainstream media has shown that immunity does not last long but a different picture emerges if the statistics are studied. It is natural for antibody levels to go down after a serious transition but it never goes to zero. The research showed symptoms of corona 11 months ago and also found antibody-producing cells in their bodies. These cells can also live a lifetime. This means that the antibody provides protection for a very long time after the infection of the corona. Earlier, a study published in Science Immunology also said that the body has immunity for up to 6 months after a corona infection. According to the research, when a viral infection occurs, immune cells are produced very quickly and spread in the blood. When most of the cells are destroyed after recovering from the infection, the amount of antibodies in the blood also decreases.

However, a small amount of antibody-producing cells remain for a long time, also called plasma cells, which are retained in the bone marrow. Thus, even a small number of antibodies remain to fight the virus when re-infection occurs. For this research, blood samples were taken from 6 people infected with Corona virus. They gave blood samples from one month to three months after the infection. Most of these people had mild symptoms of coronary heart disease. The bone marrow of 12 of them showed antibodies 11 months after the infection. Based on this, the researchers claimed that they did not show corona symptoms a second time after the infection. However, those who were seriously ill with corona infection had immunity How long it will last remains to be researched and studied.
