During the second wave of corona in India, more than 50,000 people fell victim to the black fungus

The second wave of corona epidemics in India has come down drastically, but after the corona infection, the black fungus-infected mucorrhoea has turned black. Black fungus, which spreads mostly to the brain and nasal system, has killed more than 3,000 people. According to figures released by the central government during the 9th meeting on Corona today, out of the total cases of black fungus, there were 216 cases in which a nasal system or brain infection was found. This means that in more than 90% of cases, black fungus is more prevalent in the nose and brain.


According to Union Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan, a total of 212 people have died of black fungus in the country. Thirty of the black fungus patients had coronary heart disease. Out of the total cases of black fungus, 219 people had other serious diseases. In addition, 2.7 percent of people who were infected with steroids became infected, and black fungus, like corona, was found in people of all ages. About 6% of the victims of black fungus were between 18 and 5 years of age. Fifteen patients with black fungus ranged in age from 8 to 90 years. While there were more than 10 thousand patients who were over 40 years of age.


At a meeting of the group of ministers on Corona, ICMR chief Balram Bhargava said that even though the second wave of Corona has weakened, everyone needs to be careful. There are still 20 districts in the country whose positivity rate is still high. Any kind of negligence at this stage can be overwhelming. In terms of active cases, the current average of Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and West Bengal is higher than the national average. In addition, the relief in 19 states is that the number of people dying from corona every day has come down to single digits. While in Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, the death toll is still around 100. In the last three hours, 219 cases of corona were reported in the country. At the same time, the number of active cases in the country has come down to less than 3 lakh.
