Do people living in high mountain areas have a lower risk of brain stroke?

New York, Monday, October 11, 2021

The risk of brain stacking is high due to stress and irregular lifestyle. Brain stocks have been on the rise for some time, but interesting research has shown that people living in the highlands at an altitude of 3,000 to 500 meters have lower rates of brain stroke than those living in the plains. A research report on this has been published in the open access journal Frontiers in Physiology. This topic was first researched in Ecuador. The research experiment analyzed the statistics of deaths due to trauma (brain stroke) at four different heights. In which the statistics of more than one lakh patients up to 18 years were studied in depth. According to Esteban Ortiz Prado, a researcher involved in the study, an estimated 150 million people live at an altitude of more than 200 meters.

According to the stack and health data at this altitude, people living at higher altitudes had a lower risk of stroke, and those living at an altitude of 200 meters had the lowest risk of dying from a stroke. At one point he had to be hospitalized due to a stroke but the recovery rate was higher. More than one and a half crore cases of trauma and paralysis occur in the world every year. Out of which 3 million people die. Stroke is usually caused by blood clots in the arteries that carry blood to or from the brain. When this happens, the brain does not get the blood and oxygen it needs. As a result, the brain cells begin to die.

Although people under the age of 50 have a lower risk of brain stroke, they are more likely to have high blood pressure. Children with sickle cell risk of stroke. Tobacco and alcohol addiction are also responsible. Blood pressure can be controlled and 9 out of 10 can be saved in 5 years. The rationale behind the low risk of brain stacks is that people living at high altitudes are accustomed to living in low oxygen levels. Oxygen deficiency means that new blood vessels develop easily in the body as it adapts to the conditions. The formation of new blood vessels protects against stroke. The network of blood vessels in the brain is well developed which makes maximum use of oxygen. These circumstances work to protect the body from trauma and negative effects.
