'Shatpavali' Shat means 100 and Pavli means steps, thus Ayurveda says that even just 100 steps should be walked daily after meals. This is a centuries-old Indian belief that is also very effective for your digestion system.

According to an old Indian tradition, a man should walk at least 100 steps every night after eating which is called 'Shatpavali'.
Doctors explaining the meaning of Shatapavli say that whenever and as often as you eat, you should walk at least 100 steps. According to him, the practice of walking 100 steps has been going on since ancient times and it has a good effect on your digestion.
According to a study, a short walk after a meal maintains blood sugar levels and reduces the risk of type-2 diabetes. That is why, as mentioned in Ayurveda, one should make a habit of walking a little after eating.
