What is a sinus?

Our scalp has many cavities. It helps in keeping our head light and breathing. These openings are called sinuses. If mucus fills these pores, breathing becomes difficult. This problem is called sinusitis.

How is sinusitis different from the common cold?

In the changing season common people are having cold and fever problem. Seasonal flu can be cured with medications and some prescriptions. But if cold-fever does not go away despite taking medicines and all kinds of home remedies then you should consult a doctor as it could be a sign.

If you are experiencing severe headaches or facial pain and the symptoms get worse after improving, you should consult a doctor. If these symptoms persist for more than 10 days, consult a doctor immediately.
