Apart from this, taking too much calcium can lead to kidney stones. That is why it is important to note that instead of being beneficial to your health, vitamin supplements can also be harmful.

Iron supplements are needed only when a person is deficient in iron or during pregnancy iron should be taken on an empty stomach but can be taken with food if an empty stomach is not tolerated.
