As advised by Ayurveda, have dinner before sunset or before 7 pm.

While heartburn and gas are common, this is especially common in late eater. It has been observed that people who sleep after eating late at night have more indigestion problems. The main reason for this is that when you go to sleep at night, the walls of the esophageal gland relax, which can lead to acidity. So as per the advice of Ayurveda ideal dinner should be eaten before sunset or at least by 7 pm.

Sleep is also affected

Feeling full after a late meal disturbs your sleep. Ideally there should be at least 2 hours gap between dinner and sleep. That is why according to Ayurveda we should eat light and simple food. Eating before going to bed is harmful to the digestive system.

Indigestion may occur

The period from 6 pm to 10 pm is Kapha, so one should avoid heavy, excessive, salty and sweet food at night. Because it can cause indigestion. Eating after 8 pm is not good for our health. If you must eat, eat a little and take a short walk before bed and then go to bed.
