Many times we ignore the normal changes or symptoms in the body. But this change can lead to major illness going forward. Shortness of breath, fatigue, weight loss, hair loss are some of the symptoms that we stop thinking as normal and associate them with disturbances in our lifestyle or seasonal changes. We do something similar with cancer symptoms.
It is not wrong to say that it is human tendency not to take any symptom seriously until it becomes serious. Cancer is also a serious disease that starts with normal symptoms. There are many types of cancer that are difficult to recognize. Let's know about the early symptoms of cancer.
What does WHO say?
Cancer is another leading cause of death globally. According to a report published by WHO, currently 10 million new cases of cancer are reported worldwide every year. According to WHO, one in every 10 Indians in India is likely to develop cancer in their lifetime and one in 15 people die from cancer. A WHO report has revealed shocking statistics from India.

Early symptoms of cancer
1. Unexplained weight loss
If you are losing weight without any reason, you should see a doctor immediately. If you have lost 4-5 kg or more in the last few days then you should be alert as in rare cases it may be the first sign of cancer.
2. Appearing dense in the body
According to a report, if a sudden discharge occurs in the body, ignoring it can be dangerous. This same dense gradually takes the form of cancer or cyst in the body. Often the abscess will heal on its own, but if it becomes painful or bleeds, consult a doctor immediately.
3. Change skin color
The skin is the largest part of the body and can be affected in many ways. Jaundice is a symptom that can indicate cancer. Contact your doctor if you experience any symptoms of jaundice.
4. Constant coughing
Due to change in weather people face problems like cough. In such cases chest pain due to persistent cough may be a sign of cancer. If you have a chronic cough it could be a symptom of lung or thyroid cancer. Do not ignore any such feature at all.
5. Changes in bowl movement and bladder function
Constipation, diarrhea, blood in the stool can be signs of colorectal cancer. Painful bleeding while urinating can be early symptoms of bladder and prostate cancer.
Stages of cancer
Cancer is divided into five stages. The stage of the cancer tells you how serious the cancer is.
1. Stage 0 – It indicates that you do not have cancer. However, there are some abnormal cells in the body that develop into cancer.
2. Stage 1 (Stage I)- In this stage the tumor is small and the cancer cells have spread to only one area.
3. Stage 1 and 2 (Stage II and III)- In the first and second stage, the size of the tumor increases and the cancer cells start spreading to nearby organs and lymph nodes.
4. Stage 4 (Stage IV)- This is the last and very dangerous stage of cancer which is also known as metastatic cancer. In this stage the cancer starts spreading to other parts of the body.
A cure for cancer
A doctor may decide on a treatment option based on the type, location, or stage of the cancer. Cancer treatment in general mainly involves surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, hormone therapy, immunotherapy and stem cell transplants.
