Drinking water is very important to stay healthy and fit because drinking water not only removes the problem of dehydration but also gets rid of constipation and many other diseases related to the body. Health experts advise drinking 8-10 glasses of water daily. In hot season we feel more thirsty. So we also drink more water. However, as the seasons change, so do our water needs. You may have noticed that as much as we feel thirsty in summer, we don't feel as thirsty in winter. People drink less water in winter but still do not experience the problem of dehydration. Similarly, people feel less need of water in monsoons but this does not mean at all that you should not drink water if you are not thirsty. Now the question arises that how much water should you drink daily in monsoon and why?
Keep yourself hydrated in every season
Our body is made up of 70 percent water. When there is a lack of water in the body, the cells shrink and cannot function properly due to dehydration. Cells need plenty of water to do their job properly. We should stay hydrated in every season.
How much water to drink in monsoon?
If you have bile problem you should drink 3 or 3.5 liters of water daily to keep yourself hydrated. If you have phlegm, you naturally absorb water. If you have a talk you won't feel thirsty all day and then feel tired. People with vata should drink 8 glasses of water daily. Water removes matter. It balances pitta dosha and prevents build up of kapha.
Many diseases are cured by drinking plenty of water
Be it summer or winter you should drink plenty of water in every season because the risk of many diseases also increases with the change of season and water helps you a lot in avoiding them. Drinking water keeps your body hydrated. Immunity is boosted. It helps to remove toxins from the body. Problems related to liver, stomach and kidney are reduced. Even if you are not thirsty, drink water to keep yourself hydrated.
