How to get rid of bad breath after eating onion

1. Dip onions in lemon or vinegar before meals

If you eat raw onions before meals every day, you should soak them in lemon juice before meals. Apart from this, you can also keep onions soaked in vinegar and you may have seen this while eating in hotels. Doing so can help neutralize its odor and active ingredients. This will prevent your mouth from smelling bad whenever you eat onions.

2. Chew fennel

Consuming fennel seeds after eating raw onions can help in removing this bad smell. Fennel is rich in some aromatic properties and chewing it alters the bacterial activity in the saliva which removes onion odor and gives your breath a nice fennel smell.

3. Chew cardamom

Cardamom is something that is very beneficial for your oral health. Eating cardamom after a meal is not only helpful in boosting your digestive enzymes but it can also eliminate bad breath from your mouth. This can calm the bacterial activity by cleaning your mouth. Also, this removes onion odor from your breath so that your mouth doesn't smell like onion.
