It is a relief that the number of coronavirus patients in the country is steadily increasing but the number of patients recovering from it is also increasing. Doctors have approved combinations of some of these drugs so that patients are recovering faster. Then one more drug can now be approved for the treatment of corona patients in India.

The Indian Council of Medical Resources (ICMR) first approved the use of the drug hydroxychloroquine and then approved the drug Ramdasivir used to treat Ebola, but now another drug called Paramivir may also be approved. The drug is also approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. This drug is used to prevent swine flu and similar diseases.

This antiviral drug can only be used in emergencies and in the monitoring of doctors. The drug is manufactured by a US company called Biocrist Pharmaceuticals. The trial of this drug started in 2008 and in December 2014 it got international recognition. This is a very effective antiviral drug and is mostly used in the treatment of H1N1 influenza i.e. swine flu. China, Japan and South Korea have also recognized the drug paramivir and there it is known as paramiflu.
