World-renowned virologist Dr. T. Jacob John said the corona virus would now be eradicated in a maximum of two months. Speaking about the new strain of the virus, he said that in order to understand the virus of the second strain, we have to study the virus of the first stage in depth.

However, the new strain is true, he said. He acknowledged that a new strain of the virus had arrived.

Dr. Jacob, a former professor and top virologist at the Christian Medical College in Vellore, said the method of making covacin is unprecedented but at the same time we must remember that the time is also unprecedented. Covacin has been agreed to be used in the emergency stage but the government is not obligated to purchase the vaccine. Regarding the covexin controversy, Dr. Jacob said that if my personal opinion was asked, I would prefer to take covexin instead of cove shield. He said that if the effect of the vaccine is 50 per cent or more, it is suitable for automatic registration. The trial code has to be broken if statistics of its effect are required.
