Lamentation over the death of 12 corona patients in a single hospital with low oxygen pressure

Bhopal, Ta. 18 April 2021, Sunday

The second wave of corona in the country has caused medical facilities to collapse. In some states, the situation has worsened and people are losing their lives due to lack of medical facilities.

As the pressure of oxygen supply at Shahdol Medical College in Madhya Pradesh decreased on Saturday night, the death of twelve patients undergoing treatment in the ICU has caused an outcry. As soon as the oxygen was depleted, the patients started beating and the hospital was shaken. There was a rush to arrange the oxygen cylinders.

The system was busy arranging cylinders to maintain oxygen pressure but in the midst of all this 12 patients lost their lives. Earlier, another 10 patients died of corona at Shahdol Medical College. Thus 22 people lost their lives in the same hospital on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the authorities of the medical college also said that these 12 patients have died due to lack of oxygen. However, the Shahdol administration says the deaths were caused by illness.

Congress has raised the question of how long patients will continue to die without oxygen. The government is presenting bogus figures of oxygen supply and patients are dying. Oxygen and remedivir are only available on paper.
