Despite the decline in coronary heart disease in the country, there are more than 3 lakh active cases

New Delhi, May 7, 2021, Saturday

The second wave of corona has now reduced the rate of infection but not eradicated it. People need to be very serious about masks, social distance and vaccinations. In the last three hours, there have been 150 new coronary transition cases in the country, which is less than the peak time of the third wave but needs to be noted. It should not be forgotten that even though the recovery ratio is improving in the country, there are still about 3 lakh active cases in the country who are undergoing treatment in hospitals or under home isolation. So far, 211,011 patients have recovered from corona in India. In the second wave, the recovery ratio was declining but as its peak decreased, now the recovery rate is increasing again. As the number of patients still undergoing serious treatment on ventilation is high, the mortality rate is on an average 200 to 4000. Coronal infection can be controlled only through testing, tracing and treatment.

An estimated 2010 tests have been performed for every one million people in India. According to the Union Ministry of Health, the highest number of 2103 new cases of infection in the country has been reported in Tamil Nadu till 8 am on May 9, 2021. In Maharashtra, 4,060 new cases have been reported and in Kerala, 417 new cases have been reported. Since the onset of the Koro epidemic, the highest number of cases has been reported in Maharashtra with more than 2.5 lakh cases, out of which more than 3 lakh have been cured. The second highest number of cases was reported in Karnataka at 4.5 lakh, followed by Kerala at 2.50 lakh, Tamil Nadu at 20.05 lakh, Uttar Pradesh at 12.5 lakh, Andhra Pradesh at 12.5 lakh, Delhi at 12.5 lakh and West Bengal at 12.5 lakh. While in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Gujarat, there are less than 1 million cases of corona infection. A nationwide vaccination campaign is also underway to prevent coronavirus infection. So far, 20.5 crore people have been vaccinated. The pace of vaccination campaign needs to be accelerated in the near future.
