People with diabetes are at higher risk of fungal infections, said AIIMS director Randeep Guleria.


However, the incidence of black fungus is increasing rapidly so it cannot be ignored. Early treatment of black fungus infection is beneficial. Sitting next to a person infected with black fungus does not spread the disease. Headaches, swelling in the eyes, nasal congestion, numbness of the facial organs, etc. are the main symptoms. People who have diabetes or are taking steroids should consult a doctor immediately if they notice any such symptoms. People with low immunity are more likely to get the disease. Steroids should be avoided without a doctor's advice. Black fungus infections are found in the nose, lungs, and pancreas. People who have had a coronary heart disease but do not have diabetes or have not taken steroids are less likely to get this black fungal infection.


Thus there are many types of fungal infections. Mucor mycosis is seen during the transition of the corona. Both black and white fungi are dangerous. In addition to mucor mycosis, the most talked about is the third wave of corona. Some say the third wave will come after 6 to 8 months and some say that the third wave will not come at all. The third wave is very dangerous for children. Under such circumstances, Guleria said that based on the fact that the first and second wave of corona infection had less effect in children, it cannot be said that the third wave of corona infection will affect children more.
