Bananas are rich in fiber, calcium, iron and vitamin A. Eating bananas keeps diabetes under control and also keeps the digestive system strong. Eating bananas does not make you feel hungry for a long time. Bananas keep the body healthy for a long time. But while diabetics are advised to eat small amounts of swallowed things, the question is, should diabetics eat bananas?

According to Kamini Sinha, dietician and founder of Diet Mantra, bananas are sweet in taste and contain a lot of carbohydrates. However, the glycemic index of bananas is low, due to which even diabetics can eat bananas in small quantities.

Bananas contain many essential nutrients, including fiber, which can be of great benefit to diabetics. Diabetics can eat one medium sized banana daily. However, people who have problems with blood sugar fluctuations should consult a dietician or doctor before consuming bananas.

According to dieticians, consuming raw bananas can be more beneficial than ripe bananas. If diabetics eat raw bananas, their blood sugar does not rise as fast.

Ripe bananas are high in sugar, which can raise blood sugar. If you have diabetes and your doctor says yes to eating bananas, don't eat too many bananas.
