Also, some medicines have an Rx symbol at the top of the name. This means that this medicine can only be given to a patient whose doctor has written a prescription. NRx means that only a doctor licensed to prescribe such drugs can be advised to take them. When prescribed XRx, the drug cannot be obtained from a medical store, it can only be obtained from a licensed doctor.
