In a single day, the number of corona vaccinations in India reached 10 million

New Delhi, August 21, 2021, Tuesday

Vaccination campaigns for corona resistance in India have been gaining momentum for some time now. On August 8, the number of vaccinators in the country crossed one crore in a single day, which was noted all over the world. Among them, Uttar Pradesh topped the list with 4.5 lakh, Karnataka with 11.05 lakh, Maharashtra with 7.5 lakh and Haryana with 5.11 lakh. Now, just 2 days later, on the last day of August, the number of vaccinations has once again crossed 1 crore.

A total of 1.07 crore people were vaccinated. At the same time, the number of people taking at least one dose of vaccine in India has crossed 200 million while the total number of vaccinators has crossed 50 million. Vaccination has long been practiced in Europe and the United States, but in India, which has a large population, the task of vaccinating everyone has been challenging. In the early stages, the campaign was slow for a variety of reasons, ranging from vaccine shortages. People who came to get the dose of the vaccine also faced a lot of hardships but for some time now there has been an awareness among the government and the people about the vaccine. The vaccination campaign is very important in India amidst the threat of a possible third wave.
